Market News
GBPUSD has fallen back from the highs of
1.760 made yesterday and today as traders took profits before the weekend. A lack of bite in the BOE's minutes has,
nonetheless, increased noise for increasing rates earlier than was once
thought. Watch out for Gov. Carney talking next Thursday.
The USD has come under a bit of pressure
this week and the Fed seems to be taking a dovish tone to rate increases,
clearly happy to keep a competitive edge. EURUSD has given up much of its
recent gains today , again on profit taking but still up approximately .30% on
the week.
Today USDCAD dropped over 60 pips after
consumer prices came in much higher than expected as it broke through
1.0800. These levels have not been seen
since Jan 7th 2014 with target of 1.0730 firmly in its sights.
Happy Trading!
