Below are some announcements that may impact the markets in this week.

The US dollar (USD) has gained against many of the minor currencies including Mexican Peso (MXN) and Turkish Lira (TKY) which have slid over 2 percent this week as speculation (again) mounts that the Fed is moving towards reducing the stimulus package. The knock on effect is that demand for higher yielding assets and the conflict in the Middle East has reduced the potential for risk taking....ie the markets are 'risk-off'.
One would therefore expect to see the Japanese Yen strengthening as short positions unwind.
