Thursday 16:00 BST: Bernanke's commented yesterday saying "highly
accommodative monetary policy for the foreseeable future is what is needed in
the U.S. economy". What does this
mean...you may well ask?!
You may want to look at it like....Policy
makers want to start the process of winding down QE but they do not want to
spook the market or be seen to start pointing towards raising interest rates in
the foreseeable future.
As a result of Bernake's comments equity
markets have rallied and bond yields fell.
The Geenback weakened against most currencies and the Yen strengthened
for another day after the BoJ lifted its view of the economy.
